Notice of a General Assembly to be held on 23 July 2020
On 23 April 2020, a majority of the members of the ICOMOS Board requested that I convene a General Assembly in accordance with Article 9-b of the Statutes, to be held virtually before 31 July 2020 (as allowed by temporary legislative measures taken by the French Government in response to the COVID19 pandemic), in order to seek the agreement of the General Assembly to hold forthcoming 2020 statutory meetings as virtual meetings.
Accordingly, I give notice that a General Assembly of ICOMOS will be held on 23 July 2020. The agenda for the General Assembly is available via this link. In accordance with Article 32-4 of the Rules of Procedure, only the matters included in this agenda may be considered at the General Assembly.
You can download a background paper in English, French or Spanish – it explains the reasons and the proposed procedure. Bearing in mind the different time zones in which members are located, it is intended to hold three information sessions prior to the General Assembly, at three different times, so as to enable all members to participate. Further information will be provided over the coming weeks.

President, ICOMOS
