Asia Pacific Group

ICOMOS’ Asia Pacific Group is an active network of National Committees which span 50 countries from Central Asia to the Islands of the Pacific. This is the most culturally and linguistically diverse of the UNESCO regions covering East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, West Asia and Oceania. The region includes the world’s largest continent (Asia) in which two thirds of the world’s population reside, and the smallest Island State (Nauru) with a population of around 12,000 people.

The Asia Pacific Group is currently represented on the ICOMOS Board by Susan McIntyre-Tamwoy (Australia), elected as Vice President of the ICOMOS Bureau at the 2023 General Assembly.
