We are pleased to inform you of the results in the second round of voting for the elections at the 20th ICOMOS General Assembly - election of the President, Secretary General and Treasurer, the approval of accounts and the Resolutions from agenda items 6-3 to 6-7.

ICOMOS is proud to be a part of a global team which today is launching a new project to support climate action in Africa through cultural heritage. The project, which is led by institutions in Africa and the United Kingdom, will pilot application in Africa of the Climate Vulnerability Index for World Heritage properties (the CVI-Africa project).
ICOMOS, ICA, IFLA and ICOM have issued a Statement on November 20 regarding the situation of cultural heritage in the Nagorno Karabakh region, following the ceasefire agreement that was implemented in the Nagorno-Karabakh region on November 10, to call all parties involved to proactively ensure full respect and protection of all the cultural heritage in the concerned areas.
Between November 2020 and March 2021, ICOMOS Canada will serve as the Secretariat for the ICOMOS Working Group on Indigenous heritage. As the Secretariat, ICOMOS Canada will convene stakeholders internationally to explore guiding principles and prepare a Terms of Reference that will guide the ICOMOS working group on Indigenous heritage for the years to come.
ICOMOS Canada has been organising webinar discussions in support of the work of the Indigenous Heritage Working Group. The third and last discussion will take place on 19 January 2021, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM EST, on the theme: Authenticity and Outstanding Value
Toshiyuki Kono, President of ICOMOS, participated at the virtual “Joint meeting for the ministers of culture” held by the Saudi Ministry of Culture on the occasion of the G20 Summit hosted this year by Saudi Arabia on November 4.
