ICOMOS warmly thanks Lucile Smirnov for her contributions
After 11 years working at ICOMOS International Secretariat as head of the Documentation Centre, Lucile Smirnov has said goodbye to ICOMOS to take up a new position in another institution.
On her arrival, she ensured the launch of the ICOMOS Open Archive, a tool designed and developed by her predecessor José Garcia. In addition to managing the Documentation Centre's collections, welcoming researchers and providing information to the public, she also oversaw the redesign of the ICOMOS website and the development of the ICOMOS collaborative image bank, always in the spirit of open access to make documentation available to as many people as possible. Lucile also took on other tasks to support the work of the Secretariat – such as coordinating the Resolutions Committee at ICOMOS General Assemblies or providing editorial support for ICOMOS publications.
ICOMOS also often benefited of Lucile’s artistic talent – designing posters, producing videos and our annual New Year greeting cards, among other.
We thank Lucile for her contribution to ICOMOS over all this time and wish her much success in her new position! She will be missed by her colleagues in Charenton.
