6 ICOMOS International Scientific Committees: ICORP, ISCARSAH, ISCEAH, ICTC, ISCES+CC and CIPA are organizing a joint meeting during the ICOMOS General Assembly, in Sydney, Australia, on 1st of October 2020. The joint meeting will focus on ”Advancing Risk Management for the Shared Future” addressing specifically, challenges that heritage is facing and ways to tackle them.
Abstracts are welcome until the 3rd of February 2020.

The proposal for an International Scientific Committee (ISC) on Water and Heritage was presented at the 2017 General Assembly in Delhi where the Board of ICOMOS approved the formation of a probationary task force to investigate the formation of an ISC, in accordance with the Eger Xi’an Principles for the International Scientific Committees of ICOMOS.

On recommendation of the ICOMOS Advisory Committee, the ICOMOS Board approved the establishment of an ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Industrial Heritage (ISCIH). ISCIH is now issuing a call for membership to all members of ICOMOS (deadline on 12 December 2019).

ICOFORT, the ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Fortifications and Military Heritage, is asking ICOMOS Committees and members to review its version number 4 dated 20 August 2019 of the ICOFORT Final Draft Charter on Fortifications and related heritage; guidelines for protection, conservation and interpretation.

The International Scientific Committee on Cultural Routes (CIIC) of ICOMOS, will hold its Scientific Meeting from February 10 to 17, 2020, with the theme "Living the Cultural Routes" which will take place in the city of Chihuahua, Mexico.

On the occasion of the 25 years anniversary of the creation of the Committee, CIIC organizes this meeting to bring awareness on the topic of cultural routes to all ICOMOS members.

The Caribbean Heritage Network (CHN) will hold its inaugural conference entitled, “Caribbean Conversations in Conservation” in March 16-19, 2020 in Barbados. ICOMOS members are invited to join in and spread the news.
There are still few resources available to practitioners in the region to help preserve and protect Caribbean heritage.This conference will help to bridge that gap and put a wide cross-­section of professionals in contact with one another to better understand how we go about this important work.
