The European Cloud for Heritage Open Science (ECHOES) project, led by the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), aims to establish a European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH) as a shared platform for heritage professionals and researchers to access data, innovative scientific and training resources and advanced digital tools co-developed by the cultural heritage community.
ICOMOS is part of the project's consortium of 51 public and private cultural heritage field actors working towards the implementation of this digital ecosystem.
Led by ICOMOS and supported by the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the project "Defining a thematic approach towards sustaining transhumance cultural landscapes in a changing environment" aims to address the complex environmental, cultural and social dimensions of transhumance, promoting international cooperation and building awareness of its contribution to the heritage of humanity.

After being virtually awarded the Gazzola Prize in 2020, Amund Sinding-Larsen was finally handed the prestigious medal on May 6, in a ceremony organised by ICOMOS and hosted in his honour by the Permanent Delegation of the Kingdom of Norway to UNESCO.
Amund Sinding-Larsen is considered a leading figure within the field of rights-based approaches in cultural heritage and the integration of human dignity into heritage practices.
ICOMOS, together with its Norwegian National Committee and the International Scientific Committee on Rock Art (ISC-CAR), is issuing a Heritage Alert, to stop the planned stone quarry on Aksla mountain, close to the Vingen rock art area, that will damage this remarkable site and its pristine surrounding landscape, unchanged for over 6000 years. Thousands of petroglyphs from the Stone Age can be found in the area, providing unique insights into past narratives.
